In terms of performance the flavor and vapor production are really impressive and similar to other Eleaf products that use the same types of coils (the Ijust 2, Melo 2, and Melo 3 – 4ml version). I didn't encounter any issues with it and I like the fact that it has upgradable firmware. It's a product that works well for both male and female vapers and I really appreciate the build quality and functionality of this ultra-compact mod. I would recommend it for beginners and intermediates and people who enjoy direct lung inhales. The only con for me is the knob on top which doesn't allow the use of a wider range of atomizers, but in the end it's a product that was meant to be compact and stealthy so no deal breaker here.
One of the smallest starter kits out there and at the same time one of the most stylish, the Eleaf iStick Pico has quickly become an incredibly popular product and a best seller in its category. Having the perfect size for a stealthy vape and a lovely design this mod kit is very appreciated by both genders and for good reason – as it's one of the most accurate and best performing mods the Chinese company has ever released.
From what I know, Pico stands for something smaller than Nano, so we're clearly dealing with one of the smallest starter kits ever released by Eleaf. The device comes packed in a white cardboard box with a picture of mod on top and you can get it in five different color options – black, white, grey, silver and hot pink (extremely popular with the ladies). Inside the box you will find the mod, the Melo 3 Mini tank (fitted with a 0.3 Ohm coil), a spare 0.5 Ohm coil, a micro-USB cable (used for charging as well as for software upgrades), spare O-rings for the tank, as well as manuals for both the mod and the tank.
The finish on the Eleaf iStick Pico is very nice and de design is one of the best when it comes to ultra-compact mods. It measures roughly 70 x 45 x 23 mm and it comes with a metallic knob on top that serves two purposes – it acts as a very cool design feature but it is also the battery cover as this device is powered by a single, replaceable 18650 high drain cell (not included in the kit). Besides the know we also have a 510 connector on the top that comes with a spring loaded center pin – but be careful that you will only be able to use 22mm tanks/atomizers with it due to the design.
On the main side of the mod we have the firing button, the display and the micro-USB plug, while on the bottom there are some venting holes for the battery as well the up/down buttons integrated in the base. The Melo 3 mini is built from stainless steel and Pyrex glass and it holds no more than 2ml of e-liquid. It measures 55mm in height and 22mm in diameter and it's come with a top fill design and a stealthy adjustable airflow mechanism.
The Eleaf iStick Pico has a maximum output power of 75W and three operating modes – variable wattage, temperature control and bypass (in which is acts just like a mechanical mod). Temperature control is very accurate on this model and it works with Nickel, Titanium, Stainless Steel as well as three extra user defined TCR modes called M1, M2 and M3. The minimum resistance you can use in variable wattage and bypass mode is 0.1 Ohms while in temperature control it can fire as low as 0.05 Ohms. In TC mode you can choose between 200 – 600F or 100 – 315C.
The device is very ergonomic, has a great feel and the materials used are top notch. It has no rattle whatsoever and it feels pretty solid with the battery inside. The screen is bright and generous and the tank does wonders in terms of vapor and flavor despite the 2ml capacity. I also used the mod with my Cubis tank and TC works perfectly in Stainless Steel mode. I love the TCR feature which enables you to do temperature control even with other types of materials (a features that I also found on the Sigelei 213) and I'm a big fan of tiny mods so this is a great addition to my collection.
