In terms of performance the Apollo Ohm Go Kit can produce some serious clouds with the 0.5 Ohm coil, but vapor production is way above average even with the 1.0 Ohm coil inside. It looks incredible, it feels extremely comfortable in the hand and it's an ideal kit for many of today's beginners. It's built to last and very simple to use and refill. Our Review On The Apollo Ohm Go Kit
If about 3-4 years ago, many of the vaping products we had on the market were a bit hit and miss, nowadays I'm glad to see such a great number of companies releasing successful devices one after the other. I remember the first eGo style vape pens being a step forward from traditional cig-a-likes but nowhere near perfect, however things have dramatically changed in the last two years and changed for the better. In my opinion, eGo style starter kits are the ideal device for any beginner mostly because of their simple functionality and minimalistic design. You can vape on these at home and at the same time carry them around to the office or when doing errands.
Today I'm going to talk a bit about the Apollo Ohm Go Kit, one of the nicest looking eGo vape kits I've ever reviewed and something I would definitely recommend for today's e-smoking beginners. As you're probably aware, sub ohm vaping can produce a significantly bigger amount of vapor in comparison to regular vaping and many users want to be able to enjoy thick clouds right out of the box. But in order to be able to use the sub ohm coils properly one needs to change the way he or she is used to puffing from a regular cigarette.
With sub-ohm coils you have a looser draw and it's recommended to do direct lung inhales, while with a cigarette you can only inhale mouth to lung style. This is why it's ideal to start vaping with a mouth to lung device, and Apollo have really thought this through and included two types of coils – one for mouth to lung vaping and the other one for sub ohming and direct lung hits.
The Apollo Ohm Go Kit comes packed in a white magnetic flip top cardboard box with a picture of the mod on top and inside you will find the battery, the tank, a user's manual, a micro-USB charging cable and an extra coil. The tank comes fitted with the 0.5 Ohm coil and the spare one is rated for 1.0 Ohms. If this is your first time vaping, I would suggest replacing the coils and using the 1.0Ohm version for a few days until you're ready to make the transition for something with a looser draw.
The vape pen kit comes in three available colors (black, white, and silver) but in my opinion black fits it best. The battery is tubular shaped and has a diameter of 19mm, making it compatible with many other 19mm tanks on the market today. It doesn't have the option of adjusting the voltage or wattage, but instead does this automatically (between 5-50W), depending on the resistance of your atomizer. It can fire as low as 0.3 Ohms and it has a total length of 100mm. It comes with a spring loaded 510 connector and a firing button with a light indicator, which blinks green when the battery is fully charger, blue when you're at 50% and red when it's time to plug in your cable.
The Apollo Ohm Go Kit has a very nice rubber finish that's also available on the Portal tank included in the box. The tank is made from stainless steel and Pyrex glass and it also comes with an airflow adjustment mechanism at the bottom. With this you can customize your draw from a more restrictive mouth to lung to a very airy direct lung inhale. It has a total capacity of 3ml of e-liquid and a height of around 40mm and it's a down filling tank, which means you have to unscrew the base in order to refill it with e-juice or to replace the coil. I really enjoy the Pyrex drip tip on the top and the three red O-rings as it gives the tank a very futuristic and appealing look.
The battery is rated at 1900mAh and when using it with the 1.0 Ohm coil, you're looking at a full day of vaping. It's not as powerful as the Halo Tracer pen but get the job done. With the 0.5 Ohm coil I got anywhere between 4 – 6h depending on how often I used the device.
