SMOK Stick Prince Kit review, a vape by Smoktech that's optimised to perfection

SMOK have released some pretty sleek pen style vaporizer in the past, but none of them as great as this one. Everything from the battery to the coils have been tweaked for optimum compatibility and the end result is mind blowing.

What you get with the Stick Prince

The SMOK Stick Prince comes packed in a regular cardboard presentation box. Inside you will find the battery and the Prince tank fitted with a 0.17 Ohm coil. The kit also comes with a spare 0.17 Ohm coil, a micro-USB charging cable, spare parts and the user manual. The color range of the Prince is pretty huge. Some of the available colors include: Stainless, Gold, Purple, Blue, Red, Green, Camo, Black with White, Green and Red Spatter, Orange, Red, White, Black an more. See the color chart below.

SMOK Stick Prince: Design and features

The design is pretty simple and straight forward. The SMOK Stick Prince is a vape pen for e-liquids with a total diameter of 24.5mm. The diameter reaches 28mm on the bulb part of the tank. Has a single button and battery capacity is 3000mAh.

The battery measures 85mm x 24.5mm and weighs around 90 grams. Has a shield style power button placed towards the upper section as well as a micro-USB slot on the side. The 510 connector comes with a spring loaded center pin and can accommodate other atomizers up to 24.5mm in diameter. However we recommend sticking with the Prink tank since the performance you get off it is unparalleled.

Depending on the type of USB slot you're using, it takes between 4h – 6h to get the battery fully charged. A small LED notification light will let you know when the process has ended. The battery offers low resistance protection, low voltage protection, short circuit protection as well as an 8 second cut-off.

Ease of use

Like many other vape pens the SMOK Prince is super easy to use. Just press the fire button 5 times and you're ready to go. Press it another 5 times and the pen will be locked. To vape you need to press the button while inhaling. 

The biggest reason this device scores high on its "ease of use" is the TFV12 tank. The tank has a swiveling tip which makes it easy to fill up. The max capacity is 8ml which is big enough to last a couple of days (of course depending on your style of vaping)

The crown jewel of this vape pen kit is the Prince sub ohm tank. This has a capacity of 8ml and a total height of 63mm. Comes with dual adjustable airflow on the bottom and the most beautiful resin drip tip. The drip tip has snake skin appearance and the pattern is unique for every device.

With the SMOK Stick Prince kit you get two 0.17 Ohm quadruple coils. These are really great for flavor and vapor and they also last for a very long time. These are rated between 30W – 70W, but you don't have to worry about adjusting wattages since the battery will do this automatically.

Top fill features that signature SMOK swivel top mechanism and it makes the whole process a piece of cake. Replacing the coil is also extremely easy once you read the manual. The only downside is that this kit doesn't come with an extra glass tube. You will have to be careful with it and make sure you slip a vape band on for extra safety.

Performance and final words on the Prince

When it comes to performance the SMOK Stick Prince is hard to beat. Even the ever popular Halo Tracer seems old-school next to this modern vape Stick. Flavor and vapor are off the charts and we can honestly say this is one of the best if not the best device we tested in this category. Coils are great, airflow is perfect and the overall experience is top notch. It's easy to use, easy to refill and easy to carry around. It has no problems handling high VG e-liquids and you can even chain vape it without getting dry hits.

If you're looking for that high power box mod experience in a more portable form factor then this is definitely the way to go. The only cons are bulkiness and the fact that it doesn't come with a spare glass tube.
