My overall experience with the Halo Tracer has been more than enjoyable and it's one of those "to go" kits that really gets the job done whenever you need your nicotine buzz. The clouds are puffy and delicious, the throat hit is mild and the battery is enough to last you a full day at the office. Also the fact that you get a free 30ml bottle of e-liquid makes this a very sweet deal and I would definitely recommend it all my friends.
When I review starter kits I usually say they come packed with almost everything needed for a good quality vaping experience, however this particular one really does come with everything and it's one of the best I've tried so far. Today we are going to check out the Halo Tracer, a sub ohm vape stick that also includes a 30ml bottle of some of the most popular e-liquid out there.
Halo is probably one of the most renowned e-juice manufacturers in the United States, with their liquids still being considered some of the best on the market after so many years (and for good reason). The company used to sell cig-a-likes in the past and eGo style kits but they've totally updated all their vape equipment and now they only have really cool, powerful and affordable gear.
What's in the kit?
The Halo Tracer Starter Kit comes packed in a transparent hard plastic box, and inside you will find the fully assembled device (already fitted with a 0.5 Ohm coil) and three white boxes containing the wall adapter, the micro-USB charging cable, the user manual, a spare 0.5 Ohm coil, and a spare Pyrex glass drip tip. When you place the order you're also asked to choose the flavor of your free 30ml e-liquid bottle (in the nicotine concentration of your choice).
This kit is mostly addressed to vapers who want to step up from a cig-a-like or a basic eGo style pen and are ready to experience sub ohm vaping. It's mostly a direct lung type of tank and if you're coming straight from regular cigarettes you'll need some time to get used to the new way of inhaling.
The Tracer's battery
The Halo Tracer battery is a lovely 22mm / 2300mAh model that looks very similar to an eGo ONE Mega and it only has a button to turn it on or off and to vape from it. It's a bit more powerful than the Apollo Ohm Go pen. The 510 connector on the top is spring loaded (so you'll be able to use it with other 22mm tanks you might have) and the micro-USB slot is located near the base. It is available in black or silver and it's one of those easy to use kits which automatically detects the resistance of the atomizer and calculates the necessary output wattage to deliver a great vaping experience.
The tank is a 4ml bottom filling model that's made from solid stainless steel and Pyrex glass, with well-built coils that tend to last for more than two weeks (this of course, depends on the way you vape and on the liquids you're using). You will need to prime the coil heads before first use and I do recommend closing the airflow mechanism (located on the base ring) and taking a few primer puffs without actually pressing the fire button before you actually start to vape. It's clouds are puffy and delicious, the throat hit is mild and the battery is enough to last you a full day at the office. Also the fact that you get a free 30ml bottle of e-liquid makes this a very sweet deal and I would definitely recommend it all my friends.
