Designed in California and built in China, the VooPoo Mojo 88W TC is a starter kit which quickly caught our attention. From the moment you see it to the first press of the button this device is designed to impress. Powered by the famous Gene Chip this is one of the most responsive mods we tested. In terms of looks it is very original, feels as sturdy as a rock and hides a powerful Li-Po battery under its hood.
Ultra fast chip
Very nice design and build qualityÂ

What's in the Mojo box
The VooPoo Mojo 88W TC comes packed in a standard presentation box. Inside you will find the mod itself, the U-Force sub ohm tank, two 0.4 Ohm coils, a spare glass section, a bag of spare parts, the micro-USB cable and the user manual. Colors include Orange, Red, Yellow, White, Grey, Blue, and Black. We mostly like Red and Orange, which have that nice sports car style paintjob.
Build quality of the Mojo
We have to say right from the start that the build quality on the VooPoo Mojo 88W TC is one of the best. The outer shell is made from solid metal and the finish is really nice. Feels sturdy and doesn't have any type of rattle. It measures 82mm x 38mm x 27.5mm and has a reasonable amount of weight to it. Feels great in the hand and button placement while a bit awkward takes little time to get used to.
Mojo vape: Design and features
The design of the VooPoo Mojo 88W TC is quite original. The only thing it remotely reminds us of is the Innokin iTaste Hunter. It has two oversized buttons on each side, which are the up/down controls and a main button which looks like the hinge. The OLED display is placed right under the fire button, with the micro-USB slot towards the bottom.
This minimalist box mod is powered by an internal 2600mAh battery. This provides sufficient power with long durability. It also features 2A charging and should be enough for at least 6h of vape time at around 40W.
The kit also includes the UForce Sub-ohm Tank, but we already talked about it in the full VooPoo Too review.
The mighty Gene Chip
Inside the VooPoo Mojo 88W temperature controlled box mod we have the all-powerful Gene Fan Chip. This 32 bit processing unit ensures firing times up to 10 milliseconds, which makes it one of the fastest firing mods on the market today. It has a working efficiency of 95%.
The device features variable wattage between 5 – 88W and fires down to 0.05 Ohm resistances. It also features temperature control for Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Steel with the ability to adjust wattage. The menu system is quite intuitive and easy to use. As safety features we have temperature protection, over-current protection, over-charge protection and short circuit protection.
Performance of the Mojo vape
Despite being a mid-range starter kit, the VooPoo Mojo 88W TC is very impressive. Build quality is stellar, the Gene Chip is extremely responsive and the menu offers a wide range of customizations. Works great with the UForce Sub-ohm Tank and delivers great clouds and flavor. You can also use it with other tanks and atomizers up to 24mm without any overhang. Battery life is pretty average, but considering you get 2A charging this is only a minor con.

I want to get the new Smok x-force But I am use to high 2.4 high PG juice with the strongest V2 series 7 cig they offer. I want to try the nic.salt But I don't know where to start What iis the best recommendation for a cig made specifically for nic. salt. Besides the juul I had a bad experience with that cig. Thanks so much for your help!!! bob.
hi ROBERT C. MCGUIRE JR, if you're looking to try nic sats then we definitely not recommend sub-ohm tanks and box mods. We suggest you check out our reviews section for pod systems and choose a refillable device like the SMOK Fit or the Smoant S8. Best regards, Sam
