VaporFi VAIO 80 TC

`Vaporfi have recently launched some really outstanding AIO starter kits and I have to say I'm more then impressed with the build quality on these. Today we're going to take a closer look at the VaporFi VAIO 80 TC, which comes with a built in battery and a leak proof design. The perfect combination between a solid, metallic outer shell and a great performing chipset this kit is ideal for beginners and intermediate vapers.

VAIO is for Vaporfi AIO

The all-in-one build means that the e-juice reservoir and atomizer are located inside the body of the mod and basically all you need is to fill it up and it's ready to vape. However, if you do have a favorite tank you can use that one with the help of the provided 510 adapter.

What you get inside the box

The VaporFi VAIO 80 TC comes packed in a regular white and green cardboard box and inside you will find the device itself, a spare coil, a charging cable, a manual and the 510 adapter. The mod is pre-fitted with a 0.25 Ohm Notch Coil atomizer and the spare one is rated for 0.5 Ohm. There are also 0.6 Ohm coils, which are more intended for mouth to lung use, but these you need to purchase separately. All these atomizer heads are made with SS wire, and this means they are also TC compatible.

The VAIO 80 TC's Design and features

The mod measures 49 x 26 x 75mm, it has a glossy metallic finish and it feels durable and well built.

The atomizer section is located on the top and it comes out with the chimney section and also the coil. Therefore the reservoir has a leak proof cup design and it makes it incredibly easy to use. On the main side we have the big rectangular fire button, the OLED display and the two adjustment buttons. The micro-USB slot is located on the face of the mod and you can vape on it while it's charging.

The VaporFi VAIO 80 TC is powered by an internal 2100 mAh battery and this should offer enough juice for at least 4-5h when using the 0.25 Ohm notch coil. If you plan on using the device with the 0.5 Ohm or the 0.6 Ohm coils you're looking at a full day of flavorsome vaping. A minor issue I had with these coils is the fact that they sometimes have spitback, however it goes away when slightly raising the power for a few minutes.

The device is able to go from 1 – 80W and it also does temperature control between 200°F-600°F. The TC function is compatible with Ni/SS/Ti and there are three memory presets. If you enjoy unregulated mods, then there's also a Bypass feature.

The tank

The tank on the VaporFi VAIO 80 TC holds around 3.5ml of e-liquid and that should be enough for a few hours, depending on the type of coil you're using. As a side note, the 0.25 Notch coil really goes through juice like a warm knife through butter so make sure you take your bottle with you at all times. The display and bright and full of information about the current wattage or temperature, the resistance of the atomizer or the remaining battery. It also has a nice analog style watch right before it automatically shuts off.

The provided 510 adapter allows bypassing the internal tank of the VaporFi VAIO 80 TC and use this device with any of your other atomizers. The maximum 80W power output should be enough to match your daily needs, however the 2100 mAh battery will quickly drain when used at such high wattages.

Performance and conclusions

The VaporFi VAIO 80 TC is an excellent starter kit for beginners and the flavor you get off it is amazing. Especially with the 0.25 Ohm coils, which are excellent at chucking flavorful clouds. These tend to get a bit too warm for my taste over 60W, but at around 45W they are just perfect. Filling and replacing atomizer heads is done with great ease and you can carry this mod around all day long without worrying about leaks inside your packet.
