Our Review On The LavaTube 2.5 AVP
The LavaTube has been around for quite some time, and now they have a brand new version making waves inside the vaping community. Of course we’re talking about the latest LavaTube 2.5 that comes packed with a lot new features at the same affordable price that Volcanocigs got us used to.
The LavaTube is a variable voltage (VV) and variable wattage (VW) Advanced Personal Vaporizer with the voltage being selectable from 3 volts to 6 volts, and the wattage from 3 Watts to 15 Watts. It is available in six different colors like blue, gold, gun metal gray, pink, red and black; has a nice LCD screen, and a lightweight aluminum body with an anodized aluminum finish.
The added improvements of version 2.0 are as follows:
- both variable wattage and variable voltage
- can output Average Voltage or vRMS
- capability to keep the settings after replacing the battery
The device comes with two smaller buttons designed to control both your vaping voltage and your vaping wattage, besides the regular firing button that works flawlessly. One button increases voltage/wattage, and the other button decreases voltage/wattage depending on the situation. Voltage is adjustable in 0.1 volt increments, while the wattage can be adjusted in 0.5 watt increments.
If you’re a big fan of big, bulky things then you’ll love the LavaTube mostly because of its size. It is one of the biggest AVPs on the market and it makes the Provari look like its younger brother even with the extender cap on. But besides its looks, it’s not such a heavy devices due to its aluminum construction. The aluminum also gives rigidity making it feel very well balanced in the hand and extremely solid. The body walls are quite thick and they provide a lot more resistance but at the cost of added size.
Instead of unscrewing from the bottom, like your average AVP, the LavaTube 2.5 does this from the middle when it’s time to replace the battery. It also features the ever-popular 510 connection that gives you access to the widest array of cartomizers and tanks on the market.
