The Smoant Battlestar Mini is an excellent device for beginners. With a price tag of little over $35 this mod is not only affordable but also reliable and easy to use. Works great with 22mm atomizers on top but you can also get away with 23mm. It has a maximum output of 80W, but that's more than enough for any entry level or mid-range sub ohm tank or RDA.

Familiar design but great performance
And yes, it resembles the eVic VTC Mini quite a bit but it also resembles the design lines of the original Smoant Battlestar mod. It's like the two had a baby and this baby packs a really strong punch. Works with a single 18650 battery and we do recommend the 30A cells for best performance.
What you get with this compact mod
The Smoant Battlestar Mini is available in two colors – black and yellow – and comes packed in premium black presentation box. Inside you will find the mod itself, a micro-USB charging cable, the user manual and battery warning card.
Main features: lightweight and portable
This highly portable mod measures 81mm x 37mm x 24mm and weighs little under 115g. Throw in a battery and should go above 160g. This means it will easily fit inside any pocket without feeling like a brick. It's even lighter than second favorite compact mod, the VooPoo Mojo 88W kit.
The Smoant Battlestar Mini has nice spring loaded 510 connector on top with air slits for older style tanks. On the main side we can see the round fire button, 0.96-inch display, adjustment button and micro-USB slot. The back panel is held in place by really strong magnets and also acts as the battery door. It has no rattle and build quality is more than impressive for this price range.
Packet with features
Output range is between 1W – 80W. By pressing the fire button three times you can cycle through the various operating modes. The Smoant Battlestar Mini has variable wattage, VW curves, Bypass, Temperature Control for Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Steel as well as TCR. Minimum resistance is 0.1 Ohm for variable wattage and VW curves and 0.05 Ohm for temperature control. Temperature range is between 200F – 600F or 100C – 300C.
Smoant Battlestar Mini: Performance and conclusions
The things we love the most about the Smoant Battlestar Mini are simplicity and reliability. The chip is very responsive, the user interface is more than practical and it's packed with features. One of the most versatile single 18650 mods we tested in the last few months. It also comes with a variety of safety features and that's why we recommend it to all beginners. It has an unbeatable quality to price ratio and battery life is decent when using it at between 40 – 50W.
