The SMOK Stick X8 is like a breath of fresh air in an industry flooded with vape pens. WHAT YOU GET INSIDE THE BOX

Available in six different color the SMOK Stick X8 comes packed in a volcano themed cardboard presentation box. Inside you will find the battery, the X-Baby tank with an M2 0.25 Ohm coil already fitted, a spare X4 0.13 Ohm coil, a micro-USB charging cable, a bag of spares, a vape band and the user manual.

DESIGN AND MAIN FEATURES

With a height of 85mm and a diameter of 24.5mm the battery is very portable. It’s powered by an internal 3000mAh cell and it gets fully charged in less than 4h. With a single button to operate the SMOK Stick X8 is very easy to use and it’s intended mainly for beginners looking to sub ohm. An LED indicator light surrounding the fire button will also tell you when it’s time to recharge the battery or when there’s a problem with the atomizer.

Power output depends on the coil you’re using and it ranges between 30W - 45W. That’s more than enough for big flavorful clouds and it also ensures the battery will last you a full day. As always, battery life tends to get better depending on the resistance of the coil you’re using. For instance we noticed more than 1h extra when using the 0.25 Ohm coil, as opposed to the 0.13 Ohm version.

The spring loaded 510 connector is plated with 24K gold and the battery also comes with several safety features such as low resistance protection, short circuit protection and low voltage protection.

THE ALL NEW X-BABY TANK

The X-Baby tank you get with the SMOK Stick X8 kit is a big improvement over the V8 Baby and it has top airflow and top fill. Total capacity if 4.0ml and it comes with a wide bore Delrin mouthpiece measuring 8.5mm. This prevents your lips from getting hot and it feels very comfortable. SMOK has even included a spare fill gasket as well as spare O-rings for the tank but no extra glass tube.

The 0.25 Ohm coil gives good flavor and a cooler vape, while the 0.13 Ohm coil is intended for max clouds. We didn’t notice any flooding or dry hits and we mostly used high VG juices during our tests. We do recommend the 0.25 Ohm coils for first timers though.

PERFORMANCE AND FINAL WORDS

In terms of performance the SMOK Stick X8 is one of the best vape pens we tested in 2017. It delivers amazing clouds and flavor and the battery packs enough power to last you a full day. If you also consider the affordable price tag, it’s definitely a best buy in this category.
