Smok Guardian Pipe III 75W
Gentleman style vape
In terms of performance, the Smok Guardian Pipe III does its job perfectly and it's comparable to any modern day single 18650 mod. I would say it's pretty close to the eVic VTC Mini and the Micro TFV4 tank delivers massive clouds in both variable wattage and temperature control mode. It's a very stylish kit and more than affordable if we are to compare it with other more expensive pipe mods on the market today.

It's time for a British accent impersonation today because I have a vaping kit that's going to make you feel like a real gentleman. It's called the Smok Guardian Pipe III and it's one of the most stylish mods I've seen in the last few months. And now that I think about it, this is probably my first ever pipe mod review since there weren't so many affordable devices like this on the market until now.

Smok Guardian Pipe III blackThe kit is around $75 and it also includes a state of the art sub ohm tank, besides the lovely pipe style temperature control mod. It has a black piano lacquer finish and it's definitely the type of device that makes you stand out from the crowd. It's very simple to use and the experience it delivers is one of the best.

The Smok Guardian Pipe III comes packed in white and grey box and inside you'll find the mod itself, the TFV4 Micro tank (we did a review on the TFV4 Mini a while back) with a 0.3 Ohm fused Clapon coil already installed, a spare 0.25 Ohm stainless steel coil, a replacement 5ml Pyrex glass tube (XL version), an eGo style charger, a micro-USB cable for firmware updates, a SMOK vape band, a user's manual and a bag with spare parts (O-rings and a top filling seal).

The pipe mod measures roughly 100 x 60 x 45mm and it has a very ergonomic design. It's a pleasure to hold in the hand and the position of the firing button feels very comfortable. It has a big round OLED display and a very complex menu system to adjust all of your necessary settings. The device has a nice premium feel to it because of the finish, it's very well built and the material used is hard plastic. On the top we have a spring loaded 510 connector, on the 'front' we have the display and power button, while on the back we have the battery door.Smok Guardian Pipe III mod

The Smok Guardian Pipe III is powered by a single 18650 high drain battery (get one rated at 25A or higher) but the catch is that you have to charge it via the provided eGo style adapter when it's inside the mod. This means you have to remove the tank and you won't be able to vape it while it's charging. I used a spare battery and an external charger to avoid this from happening but it is what it is. The battery door is located on the 'back' of the mod and it's held in place by magnets. There are some nicely made venting holes on it and in the battery compartment there's also a micro-USB port used for firmware updates.

Everything you do on this particular mod is via the firing button, which can be both a blessing and a curse. It's a blessing because it's very simple to operate but a real curse when you want to adjust your wattage, set the time and date, go through some of the settings and so on. The device goes from 1 – 70W in variable wattage mode and from 200 – 600 F in temperature control mode. It works with Nickel, Titanium as well as Stainless Steel and it also features Bluetooth connectivity to pair with your mobile phone and SMOK's app.

Smok Guardian Pipe III battery coverThe Micro TFV4 tank included in the Smok Guardian Pipe III kit is a solid performer and it's perfect for the mod's variable wattage and temperature control capabilities. It's filled from the top and there are a variety of coils you could use with this cloud machine. The tank has a diameter of 24.5mm and it nearly a perfect match for the pipe's top diameter. You can use your regular 22mm tank on top if it but it's going to look a bit off.
