You will receive the Rincoe Mechman 228W Kit in a standard cardboard presentation box. There are three different pictures of the mod on the top, all featuring some of the available designs and stickers. Inside you will find the 228W box mod, the sub ohm tank, a spare glass section, an extra coil, the micro-USB cable and the user manual.

There are three different cage designs to choose from - steel case, steel wings, and steel bone - and all of them come in two variations of color: black or stainless steel. Also there are five types of stickers available including popular flags, camouflage, solid black and even a mythological wolf.

Design of the Rincoe Mechman 228W mod

The design of the Rincoe Mechman 228W mod is aggressive and modern. It’s made from high quality metal and looks like a steel cage - or an exoskeleton - is surrounding the body of the device. It has a reasonable amount of weight to it and the built quality is pretty impressive.

The device measures 90mm x 29mm x 54mm and the 510 connector is placed right in the middle. This is spring loaded and has a diameter of 24mm. Also you can go as high as 25mm without noticeable overhang.

The front panel is held in place by two magnets and therefore is fully detachable. You can swap it with a new design or a new sticker. These panels are sold separately and they also act as the battery door.

To power on the Rincoe Mechman vape you will need two high drain 18650 cells, which are also sold separately. The fire button, display, adjustment buttons and micro-USB slot are all placed on the main side of the mod.

The Mechman 228W features

The Rincoe Mechman 228W is a variable wattage vape mod that also does temperature control and bypass. It’s powered by a proprietary chip and also comes with safety features like overheat, low voltage, reverse battery and short circuit protections. It fires down to 0.08 Ohms and up to 5.0 Ohms.

You can set the output power between 1 - 228W and the scrolling is pretty fast. The device also round-robins if you press the up button one more time after it reaches 228W.

There are temperature control presets for Nickel, Titanium, Stainless Steel and also a TCR function. If you want to vape like from a mechanical mod, you can always activate the Bypass mode.

The Rincoe Mechman Mesh Tank

The Rincoe Mechman Mesh Tank included with this kit is pretty amazing. It features a bubble glass style section and the total capacity is 4.5ml. The tank also comes with an 810 removable drip tip, but the kind that uses O-rings.

There are two types of coils you get with this vape: the 0.25 Ohm single mesh atomizer and the 0.2 Ohm dual mesh atomizer. The first one gives best results between 40 - 60W and the second one between 50 - 80W.

Both these coils deliver really great vapor and flavor, and they cope with high VG juices quite well. You can adjust the airflow from the base ring and there’s a convenient slide to unlock top fill mechanism.

Performance of the Rincoe Mechman 228W Kit

In terms of performance the Rincoe Mechman 228W Kit is pretty good, however it does not bring anything new to the table. The tank is excellent with solid and well engineered coils and the vapor and flavor are spot on. The menu system is simple and intuitive and this makes the device very easy to use.

We did find a couple of cons, the most important being the dim light of the display and the lack of stability on the desk. You won’t be able to read anything outdoors and the mod has the tendency to fall on its side when it's standing.
