What you get with the Kangertech K-Pin Mini starter kit
The Kangertech K-Pin Mini comes packed in a nice white presentation box. Inside you will find the device itself, one SSOCC 0.5 ohm coil, a micro-USB cable, the user manual and warranty card. Available colors are light blue, green, red, black as well as a rainbow version.
K-Pin Mini: Design and main features
This pocket size All-In-One vape has a very interesting design. It has a total height of 119mm and a diameter of 22mm. It fits in the palm of your hand so naturally and is super easy to use. The body is made from light metal and the paint job seems pretty durable.
On top of the Kangertech K-Pin Mini we have the telescopic mouthpiece. This is an innovative design from Kanger and you simply need to twist the top cap to access the drip tip. Same top cap comes off when you want to refill with e-liquid and tank capacity is 2.0ml. It also features three airflow slots on each side which are non-adjustable.
The tubular shaped body has a nice rounded fire button, as well as a 5-LED battery indicator underneath it. Each LED light represents 20% battery. The built-in cell has a capacity of 1500mAh and takes around 2h to fully charge. The micro-USB slot is placed on the side.
The SSOCC coils
With the Kangertech K-Pin Mini kit you get a single 0.5 Ohm SSOCC coil. This matches the AIO's power output perfectly and delivers good vapor and great flavor. However we would have loved to see at least two coils in the box, as these don't last for a very long time. We usually get a maximum of 5 – 6 days from a Kanger coil and this means you will need to buy extras in no time.
The great part is that you can also use different style SSOCC atomizer heads. The 1.2 Ohm version in particular is great for mouth to lung use and the 0.5 Ohm Clapton is perfect for flavor. You won't be able to use the Ni200 0.15 Ohm atomizer, since this is not a temperature control compatible device.
Performance and conclusion on the K-Pin Mini vape
The Kangertech K-Pin Mini is one of the best AIO pens we tested. It's really compact, easy to use and works even with high VG e-liquids as long as you don't chain vape. Flavor and vapor production are very impressive for a device this small and battery life is above average. It's great for beginners looking for a leak-proof, direct lung style starter kit and overall performance is quite good. The only con is that it only comes with a single coil.
