In terms of performance, the Joyetech Cuboid Tap has everything it needs to become the next best seller. It can go up to 228W, it features temperature control for Nickel, Titanium, Stainless Steel and TCR and touch sensors with haptic feedback. Flavor and vapor production are off the charts but it does go through e-liquid like a warm knife through butter. An excellent kit for vapers switching from an entry level box mod or a vape pen.
This Chinese company has released countless bestselling mods across the years, and the Joyetech Cuboid Tap is their latest innovation. It's a streamlined box mod kit with pressure sensing pads and vibration motor feedback that's accompanied by the awesome Pro Aries tank. Also if you remember the eVic-VT, this device also comes with some of the best paint jobs and color options we've seen.
WHAT YOU GET WITH THE KIT
The Joyetech Cuboid Tap comes packed in a standard cardboard gift box. Inside you will find the mod itself, a micro-USB cable, the user manual and the Pro Aries tank with 0.4 Ohm and 0.15 Ohm coils, a spare glass tube and extra O-rings. It's a bit similar in size with the Predator from Wismec, however on this mod the 510 connector is not centered.
MAIN FEATURES
With the tank on, the device measures 135mm in height x 41mm x 28mm. It works and looks great with any other atomizer or tank on top as long is not bigger than 25mm. The 510 pin is spring loaded and unlike previous Joyetech mods we didn't see any issues even with atties with protruding connectors.
We do have a standard fire button on the side so you can use this mod like any other normal box mod but the touch sensing pads are really cool once you get used to them. These are located on the face of the device, with the fire pad on top and the two adjustment pads right below the OLED display. And speaking about the display, it's by far one of the best we've seen on a vape mod. It measures 1.3" and it shows detailed information about mode, atomizer resistance, output current, output power and real time readings from the batteries.
As we mentioned earlier, the finish on the Joyetech Cuboid Tap is spectacular. Red and Yellow come with Nascar style flames, Blue comes with a cosmos/galaxy theme, Black is accompanied by carbon fiber while Silver has wood accents. A very classy mod, with a great paintjob and tactile feedback with each press of the touch pads. These pads can be disabled from the menu if you want to use just the regular fire button on the side.
Besides for the touch pads, the Joyetech Cuboid Tap also has pressure sensors on the sides and these offer different functionalities depending if the mod is on or off. For example, by squeezing the device four consecutive times you access the menu and by squeezing it five times you turn the stealth mode on.
THE ARIES PRO TANK
The Aries Pro tank that comes with the kit is one of the best from Joyetech. It has a total capacity of 4.0ml, top fill design and airflow adjustment system. The coils are very well built and the two you get with the tank are excellent for big clouds and perfect flavor. We particularly enjoyed the 0.15 Ohm version at 60W. A mouth to lung 0.25 Ohm coil is also available to purchase separately, as well as two other direct lung atomizers.
The device is powered by two 18650 batteries, which are not included with the kit. The board features balanced 2A charging through the integrated micro-USB slot and this is also used for future firmware upgrades.
