We didn't see any leaks and despite the small battery, it's still enough to get you through a couple of hours of puffing. Also, with the 5-LED indicator light you will always know the status of your battery and when it's time to recharge. The whole process doesn't take longer than 1h with a standard 2A USB wall adapter.
When it comes to all in one personal vaporizers you simply can't go wrong with the Joyetech Atopack Penguin. At just under $30 this is by far one of the best kits for beginners and it also works great as an on the go type of device for more experienced vapers. Design wise, it definitely looks as a miniature penguin, especially in black & white and the coils are just top notch.
WHAT YOU GET WITH THE KIT
The Joyetech Atopack Penguin comes packed in a lovely cardboard presentation box and you do get a penguin logo on the top. Inside you will find the vaporizer itself, two atomizer heads, a micro-USB charging cable, silicone caps for the mouthpiece and pod, as well as the user manual. It is available in five different colors and the shape is very ergonomic and built to so naturally in the hand.
DESIGN AND MAIN FEATURES
The device measures 102mm x 52mm x 26.5mm and weighs little under 140 grams. It's like combination between a pod system vaporizer and a standard all in one and has a total capacity of 8.8ml of e-liquid. For European vapers the Joyetech Atopack Penguin comes with a 2.0ml refillable pod.
On the top side we have the built-in mouthpiece and this cannot be used with you standard 510 drip tips. However, it's still very comfortable on the lips and it doesn't get too hot even in direct lung mode. On the main side we have the airflow slot, which is non-adjustable, the fire button, battery indicator and USB port. Finally, on the base there are two rows of venting slots for the internal battery.
The Joyetech Atopack Penguin is powered by a non-removable 2000mAh cell and the maximum output wattage is 50W. Output power depends on the type of coils you are using and you get to choose between the 0.25 Ohm and the 0.6 Ohm atomizer heads. The 0.25 Ohm version is intended for direct lung inhales, while the 0.6 Ohm version is more suited for mouth to lung vaping.
To fill up the pod with e-liquid you simply need to take it out of the device and remove the silicone plug from the bottom. You now have access to the fill slot and after pouring your favorite juice it's time to mount the coil. These coils are made with Kanthal wire and organic cotton, surrounded by a ceramic outer layer. They easily snap into place at the bottom of the pod and from there you just slide the cartridge back into the device and you're ready to vape. Make sure to prime the coils on first use with a couple of e-liquid drops on each side and you're all set.

Update - The Joyetech Atopack Penguin SE
In the meantime Joyetech have released a brand new version of this product called the Atopack Penguin SE. And while this looks almost identical to its predecessor, there are a couple of things that set it apart.
First we have the see-through e-liquid indictor windows on both sides of the device, which is the biggest pro. Then we have a wide new array of vibrant colors and paint that doesn't chip off. The new pod vaporizer is much lighter and a little bit cheaper; however it's fully compatible with the old cartridges.
The overall experience, battery life and coils have remained the same, and this is what made the product great in the first place. Big thumbs up to Joyetech for updating this classic and it's still one of our favorite refillable pod vapes for beginners.
