One of the best looking sub ohm tanks we ever tested here also brings innovation to the vape industry. Horizon Tech Arco is the first to use flax paper and cotton inside it’s coils and the flavor you get from this is phenomenal. Also the colors are amazing and if you enjoy puffing at over 70W then you’re in for a massive surprise.
We know flaxseed oil is great for seasoning cast iron pans but it turns out flax plant fibers are also suitable for vaping. Horizon uses a layer of flax paper in between the wire and cotton to enhance flavor and the results are mind blowing. This was one of the best tanks for flavor we tried in 2017 and has quickly become one of our favorites.
WHAT'S INSIDE THE BOX
The Horizon Tech Arco comes packed in a white cardboard presentation box and it’s available in four different colors. Black, Blue and Rainbow have such a glamorous appearance but if you’re a classic then there’s also a regular Stainless Steel version. Inside the packaging you will find the tank fitted with a 0.2 Ohm A6 coil, a spare A4 coil, a spare glass tube, 510 mouthpiece adapter, a tool, and a bag of spare extra seals and O-rings.
DESIGN AND MAIN FEATURES
It’s a 25mm sub ohm tank with airflow adjustment on the base and top fill. For access to the fill port you simply need to twist the top cap and pour in your e-liquid. It has a maximum capacity of 5.0ml and it’s intended to be used at between 70 - 90W, depending on the type of coil.
Horizon Tech Arco has some pretty big coils and these require at least 1.5ml of e-liquid for priming. They deliver the best flavor after a full tank has been used but that’s something worth waiting for. It’s very similar to that on an RDA or RTA and the coils seem to last for a very long time. The tool you get with this tank is to help remove the mouthpiece and this way you can easily dissemble the top cap and replace the fill gaskets. With the provided 510 adapter you can use any drip tip you might have, especially if you’re not a big fan of the Delrin sleeve.
