My overall experience with the Eleaf Lyche has been good and I'm glad it solved some of the problems of the Cubis like the constant flooding . On the other hand I did get spitback a few times and at 60W it's not something pleasant. I really loved the NotchCoils and the flavor they give, especially at high wattages. It's a tank that won't leak and which is perfect for beginners or intermediate vapers looking to boost up the power and lower the resistance.
When it comes to sub ohm tanks these days there are so many top notch options, however there are only a handful that never fail to impress. Such an example is the Aspire Cleito, a superbly built 3.5ml tank that's virtually designed to put a big smile on any vaper's face who's looking to blow out huge clouds without any compromise when it comes to flavor.
The Aspire Cleito is somewhat of a budget priced tank, but with stellar performance and a revolutionary coil design that constantly amazes me. It comes packed in a transparent hard plastic box and inside you will find the tank itself fitted with a 0.4 Ohm atomizer head, a spare 0.2 Ohm atomizer head, a spare Pyrex glass tube, an Aspire branded vape band, and four different color rubber cuffs.
Right from the start you will notice that this tank is not like any other, with the coils being so tall and bulky. The only tank with bigger coils I tested was the Smok TFV4 but in the case of the Aspire Cleito there's more than meets the eye. It has been designed without a chimney and this means that the top cap will screw right onto the coil, resulting in the most natural and intense flavor as well as really big clouds.
The tank has a diameter of 22mm and a total height of 58mm including the mouthpiece. And speaking about the mouthpiece, it's not exactly your average 510 model (you can use standard drip tips on it too) but it does an excellent job and it really stops the heat transfer from the coil. It's a wide bore design and it's made from Delrin so it will look pretty good on both the silver and black versions of the tank. You also get a selection of cuffs to mount on top of the tank and beside their aesthetic purpose they also help stop the heat transfer to your lips.
The Aspire Cleito is a pretty solid tank made from stainless steel and Pyrex glass and it does come with an adjustable airflow mechanism at the base. It's very simple to use and you can easily switch form a very airy draw to a restrictive lung type of hit in no time. Changing the coils is also very intuitive but because of the way they are built you won't be able to save your juice when it's time to swap a burnt atomizer head with a new one.
There are essentially three types of coils for the Cleito: the 0.4 Ohm version that's perfect for wattages between 40-60W, the 0.2 Ohm version that can go all the way up to 70W, and the brand new SS316L 0.4 Ohm version that can go as high as 65W. I didn't get a chance to test the new SS coils, which are designed for both power mode and temperature control (on mods that work with SS TC) but I did use it quite a lot with the standard 0.4 Ohm coil which is absolutely stunning.
These coils give great flavor, great vapor and they really seem to last a very long time. I have one right now that I've used for nearly 3 weeks and it still performs like a champ. You should also know there's an RBA section for the Aspire Cleito (sold separately) and a FatBoy style Pyrex glass tube that will compensate for the lost volume. I didn't try them, but I read a lot of positive customer reviews and I plan on getting them in the near future.
So, the Aspire Cleito is a great performing sub ohm tank, that has some of the best pre-built coils out there and is pretty versatile. It delivers exceptional vapor and flavor at 40-50W and it's probably one of my favorites so far.
