Vapor production on the Herakles Plus Tank is really impressive, however I didn't get the chance to test the stainless steel TC coil because I've accidentally misplaced it. The flavor is very good and the airflow is one of the best I've tested so far. Â I promise I'll return with a feedback on the SS coil once I get a replacement but I'm sure it's as lovely as on the regular Kanthal coil. It's a very well balanced tank in terms of looks, performance and price and I do recommend it to anyone looking for a decent sub ohm performer that wicks great and works flawlessly.
Our Review On The Herakles Plus Tank
Sense is a well-known company when it comes to manufacturing great tanks, and this is probably because products like the original Herakles Sub Ohm tank are still very popular even today. Well, now they have released a new and improved version of the initial model and it's called the Herakles Plus Tank. The thing that really stands out about this particular tank is the innovative dual airflow system that enhances the flavor rather than muting it.
On many other sub ohm tanks with dual airflow you do get holes just below the drip tip to help cool down the vapor and make the draw looser, however it takes a bit of the flavor too. This is what's so revolutionary about the Herakles Plus Tank, as they designed the secondary airflow to also come in contact with the coils and act as a small flavor booster so let's check it out.
The tank comes packed in a transparent, hard plastic box with a cardboard seal on top and inside you will find the fully assembled Herakles Plus with the 0.4 Ohm coil pre-installed, a spare 0.2 Ohm stainless steel coil, a replacement Pyrex glass tube and a small user's guide.  It's build from high quality stainless steel and it comes in three available color options – Rose Gold, Black and Silver.
The first thing you'll notice about the Herakles Plus Tank are definitely its looks and I have to admit it's one of the most beautiful atomizers out there. It's a great addition on top of a state of the art electronic box mod and it's relatively easy to use. Since it's a top filling tank you only have to unscrew the top cap in order to get access to the refill port and it can handle up to 4ml of e-liquid. However, when you're using the tank for the first time or replace the coil I do recommend priming it with e-juice just to prevent any burnt taste.
As I mentioned before, the really cool thing about this tank is the way the airflow is designed. So there's an adjustable airflow mechanism at the bottom that works in the same way as on all the other sub ohm tanks, but the neat feature is the top airflow mechanism. It's connected to the coil via a tube that surrounds the chimney and it reaches the chamber as you draw air through the drip tip. This gives an extra flavor and airflow boost and the end result is fantastic. With the four airflow slots wide open this tank has one of the airiest draws ever and you can go as high as 100W with these redesigned coil heads.
The Herakles Plus Tank also has an adjustable juice flow mechanism that lets you open or close the e-liquid feeding holes of the coil. If, for instance you have a thinner juice like 50/50 VG/PG then it's probably a good idea to open it just one third of the way, but you're vaping on a high vg e-liquids that's a lot thicker you can open it all the way. It works nicely and I have to say I'm really impressed with the wicking on these brand new coils.
One thing you need to be on the lookout is that the juice flow control mechanism is just under the bottom airflow mechanism and every time you adjust the airflow you'll need to double check the wicking holes to see if you didn't accidently closed them off. This, and the fact that you something get spitting from the coils (at 60-80W) are in fact the two cons I found with this particular tank and besides these, the general experience was top notch.
