Mesh style coils are becoming more and more popular and the Eleaf Lexicon 235W TC starter kit comes with some of the best we tried. The tinted ELLO Duro sub ohm tank is paired with a solid box mod and performance is outstanding. It features eye-catching LED lights all over the body as well as in depth customizations. Furthermore, with the dedicated Lexicon desktop app you can easily create your own logos and upload them to the device.

Lexicon Starter kit contents and available colors
Like many other Eleaf products, you will find the Lexicon packaged in a standard presentation box. Inside you will find the lovely box mod, the Duro sub ohm tank, a charging cable and the user manuals. With the tank you get two types of coils: the HW-N 0.2ohm head and the HW-M 0.15ohm head. The N stands for 'net' or mesh and the M stands for 'multi-hole' design.
Available colors for the Eleaf Lexicon 235W TC starter kit are: Purple, Black, Blue, Dazzling, Red, and Silver.
The design of the Lexicon box mod
This bad boy has one of the most interesting designs we've ever come across. A thin band of LED lights surrounds the body and makes a wishbone symbol on each of the front and back panels. In addition there are two diagonal cuts on the upper part of the mod and these give it a very futuristic vibe.
The device measures 81mm x 45mm x 31mm and weighs around 170g without batteries. On top of the Eleaf Lexicon 235W we have a spring loaded 510-connector that feels quite durable. This is able to accommodate atomizers and tanks up to 28mm in diameter without overhang. Consequently the display, adjustment buttons and micro-USB port are placed on the face of the mod.
At the same time the battery door is on the base of the device. This has a nice 'slide and unlock' mechanism and does not rattle. Comes with clear, readable, white on black polarity indicators and this is a big pro for Eleaf.
Board and main features and the LEDs
The Eleaf Lexicon 235W is very responsive, accurate and fires instantly. It features variable wattage up to 235W and all the necessary temp controls. Output voltage ranges between 0.5V-8V and it can fire down to 0.05 Ohms in TC mode.
One of the key features of this starter kit is the beautifully designed light show. Whenever you press the fire button all the LEDs will start to glow and change color depending on the setting you selected form the menu. This is pretty eye-candy; however it's not something we would use on the long term.
The great ELLO Duro tank
The ELLO Duro sub ohm tank you get with the kit is hands down on the best atomizers of this year. Vapor production and flavor are surprisingly good and these new coils do an excellent job. In addition they cope with high VG e-liquids quite easily and have a pretty long lifespan.
The tank has a total height of 54mm and weighs around 57 grams. It's made from stainless steel and has two types of glass tubes: the standard one and the bulb-style which holds up to 6.5ml of e-liquid. The bulb glass perfectly matches the color of this great vape mod.
Moreover, the tank features dual adjustable airflow at the base as well as convenient slide to unlock to fill.
Performance and final words on the Lexicon vape
The Eleaf Lexicon 235W TC starter kit is one of the nicest surprises of 2018. It's almost as good as the Polar vape kit from Vaporesso. The mod is beautifully designed, it functions flawlessly and it comes with a great sub ohm tank. These new 'net' and 'multi-hole' type coils are really good and they deliver excellent flavor and vapor. It's a great combo for all type of vapers, from beginners to pros.
The only cons we found are with the menu system and LED lights. The settings are sometimes hard to understand and the LEDs don't really adjust color according to what you select.
