In terms of performance on the Aspire Nautilus 2, the 1.8 Ohm coil gives exactly the same experience as a Nautilus or a Nautilus Mini. Flavor is excellent for a mouth to lung tank and vapor production is pretty good. It accounts for a cool, smooth vape and it's just excellent for people looking for a great product within this category. The 0.7 Ohm coil is recommend for higher wattages and at around 22W is gives a nice warm vape and same great flavor. You can also use it for restrictive direct lung inhales and it
If you've been e-smoking for a few years now, chances are you heard about the Nautilus. It was a tank that completely revolutionized the vaping industry and helped thousands of people make the switch. Its secret was the popular 1.8 Ohm coil, a product that's still in shops even four years after the hype. When it comes to vape gear that's huge. It's also probably the main reason why the Aspire Nautilus 2 tank uses the same technology.
This is a mouth to lung tank and it's built to comply with European TPD regulations. It comes with a metallic outer shell surrounding the glass tube and has a capacity of 2.0ml of e-liquid. And while 2ml of juice might seem too little for today's standards, it really makes this tank same as a Nautilus Mini.
WHAT YOU GET INSIDE THE BOX
The Aspire Nautilus 2 comes packed in a block cardboard box and inside you will find the tank itself, a spare coil, a spare glass tube, spare O-rings and a spare drip tip. The tank comes pre-installed with a brand new 0.7 Ohm coil, that's identical in design with the 1.8 Ohm spare. The drip tip is made from Delrin, but the spare one is stainless steels and it looks very similar to the original Nautilus mouthpiece.
The reason behind using a Delirn drip tip is due to the 0.7 Ohm coil. This sub ohm atomizer head is design to work at higher wattages and therefore the vapor is going to be much warmer. Having heat insulating material protects the lips when chain vaping and we really appreciate Aspire going the extra mile.
DESIGN AND MAIN FEATURES
The first thing you will notice about the Aspire Nautilus 2 is its looks. It's definitely a love it or hate it type of product and we're still not sure what to think. The design is pretty futuristic but the overall picture we get is that of a baby bottle and there's no way to shake that off. Sure, due to the extended range of colors – Black, Red, Grey, and Stainless Steel – it can make a nice combo on top of any mod but it still looks how it looks.
The tank measures 53mm in height with the mouthpiece on and has a diameter of 22mm. The 510 drip tip can be replaced with your personal favorite but we did find it more than enjoyable. It accounts for a very comfortable grip between the lips and a satisfying overall experience.
To refill the Aspire Nautilus 2 you have to take the top cap off and this might be tricky at times. It's because it's hard to hold the airflow ring when the tank sits on the mod and once you unscrew it from the 510 connector the AFC ring sometimes comes off. It's a top fill tank and a big improvement over the original Nautilus but it's not perfect. Also you cannot swap coils without draining the tank so that's another con in our book.
