Once you put this tank on a powerful 26650 mod you’ll quickly see that it’s worth all the fuss. Vapor production is phenomenal, almost similar to the one you get with some RDAs and the flavor and throat hit are absolutely amazing. The airflow system works like a charm and on the maximum setting it will literally make you go cloud chasing.
One of the biggest tanks we’ve ever tested around here, the Aerotank Turbo from Kanger is an absolute beast made from food grade stainless steel and surrounded by a Pyrex glass wall. In essence, it is a quad coiled bottom fed tank system that can hold up to 6ml of e-liquid and considering it has a diameter of 30mm, it’s suited for any 26650 mod like the Hades, the Seven 22 or the Seven 30.
The Aerotank Turbo comes in a good quality white cardboard box, and inside besides the unit itself you will find an instructions manual and two spare atomizer heads (1.8 Ohms each). In addition, since we’re talking about the heads, you probably know that Kanger has different versions of these devices, ranging from 0.8 to 1.8 Ohms. But because this particular tank uses double coils, it means that the actual resistance is divided by half. If you use 2 x 1.8Ohms you’ll end up with around 0.9 – 1.1 ohms which is supported by many devices, however if you go for the 0.8 models, you’ll end up with a resistance of 0.4-0.5 Ohms. This is why it’s essential to read the manual before you start puffing on the Aerotank Turbo. Very few regulated devices don’t have the 5 Amp fuse and are capable of delivering enough watts to run such a build. You could use a mechanical mod, but this is where things can get dangerous because you need to make sure your battery supports a continuous discharge rate of over 10A.
Another feature of this tank is the adjustable airflow system, which consists of five holes that can be covered or left open with the help of a rotating ring. For increased airflow, we suggest keeping all holes uncovered, but these are personal preferences that can vary from vaper to vaper.
To refill the Aerotank Giant you need to unscrew the engraved middle ring and the tank will get separated in two pieces. You can pour your e-liquid until it reaches the top of the chimneys, screw it back together and you’re ready to vape. This is also the way you can replace the atomizer heads, and since there are two of them, regular maintenance can be a bit costly on this model, as they need to be changed every 10 to 20 days, depending on how often you use it.
