The Innokin LiftBox Bastion may look like an ordinary squonker on first glance, but it's something revolutionary. This is the first box mod to use Innokin's LIFT Siphon system and it can turn an ordinary RDA into an 8.0ml RDTA. All you need is a 24mm dripper with a squonk pin and you're good to go.

Innokin took its LIFT adapter to a whole new level
Looks like Innokin took their LIFT RDTA adapter and turned into an actual mod. They doubled the e-liquid capacity and invested a lot of time and effort in the overall design. It's a sleek looking box mod which delivers unregulated power but comes with multiple safety features.
LiftBox Bastion: Contents and available colors
The Innokin LiftBox Bastion is available in five different colors: orange, grey, red, green and black. Inside the box you will find the device itself, a micro-USB cable, stickers, spare O-rings, user manual and safety cards. Packaging is really nice, like on all Innokin products and the manual and leaflets are some of the best out there.
Design of the LiftBox Bastion and main features
The mod measures 82mm x 51mm x 25mm and weighs around 210 grams. The body is made from top quality aluminum and the finish is really good. Has an ergonomic shape, it's comfortable to hold and the weight is just perfect. The Innokin LiftBox Bastion comes with screw-on cover over the 510 connector. This will serve as a cap when having the reservoir filled with e-liquid but no RDA on top. Threading is made from stainless steels and feels durable. The fire button is actually a bar and it's placed on the main side.
The Bastion has a small LED notification light on the bottom that glows in different colors depending on the battery charge.
The battery door is held in place by magnets and has a slit for the e-juice reservoir. Once you take the door off you can see the battery slot as well as the reservoir and airflow adjustment ring. Micro-USB slot is placed on the back of the vape mod, and here the finish is real carbon fiber.
Minimum resistance you can use with this mod is 0.08 Ohms after which the automatic cut-off systems steps in. It delivers unregulated power to the atomizer and it requires a single 18650 battery. Besides the automatic cut off it also has revere polarity protection and low voltage protection. To turn the device on or off you simply press the fire button three consecutive times.
What makes the Innokin LiftBox Bastion so unique?
The principle behind the Innokin LiftBox Bastion is quite innovative. When you mount a 24mm RDA on top, fitted with a squonk pin, e-liquid will start to saturate the cotton through the natural capillarity effect. The only thing it requires is a few dummy puffs to get the process started. This will then continuously wick the RDA every time the user takes a long pull. E-liquid capacity is 8.0ml, so that's a lot considering you don't have to drip or squonk.
Performance and final words on the LiftBox Bastion vape
In terms of performance the Innokin LiftBox Bastion is a real breakthrough in engineering. However, when it comes keeping the coils saturated with e-liquid it's a bit of hit and miss. It tends to work better with RDAs that have more of a restrictive direct lung draw and not that good with very loose airflow. It can struggle with chain vaping and the internal airflow adjustment needs to be calibrated depending on the type of e-liquid or atty.
We honestly do not recommend this to beginners or intermediate vapers but rather to people who have experience with squonk mods and like to fiddle around. It can be a total delight at times but we also experienced a couple of nasty dry hits totally out of the blue.
