In terms of performance the iKarno X-MINI 50W is a really nice surprise as it offers decent power output and three temperature control options. It’s probably in the same league as the Serpent box mod and is great as a back-up or as day-to-day mod for mouth to lung users. Build quality is pretty OK and we didn't find any other cons with this device.
If you’re looking for a very compact box mod that does variable wattage and TC then the iKarno X-MINI 50W is worth checking out. This tiny device is powered by a 1500mAh internal battery and for its size it’s quite impressive. It is available in five different colors - red, black, green, white, and blue - and features temperature control for Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Steel.
What's inside the iKarno X Mini box?
The iKarno X-MINI 50W comes packed in a black presentation box and inside you will find the mod itself, the user manual and charging cable. Considering it’s able to charge at 5V/1A it takes around an hour and a half to take the battery from 5 to 100%. This of course if you’re using a wall adapter. If you use an old computer or laptop USB port then charging could take twice as long.
Design and main featureS
Despite being a tiny box mod, it tends to look rather beefy when you put it on the table due to its width and depth. It measures 62mm x 41mm x 26mm and weighs little over 150g so it’s light and portable. It feels nice in the hand and button placement is more than OK.
On the top side of the iKarno X MINI 50W we have a stainless steel 510 connector fitted with a spring loaded center pin. You will be able to fit 22-23mm on top of it without problems but if you go with a 24mm it’s going to have a bit of overhang. On the main side we have the fire button, the display, adjustment buttons and micro-USB slot. On the base there are only a couple of venting holes for the battery.
You need to press the fire button three times to turn the device on or off. To enter the menu just hit plus and minus buttons simultaneously for three times. If you select power mode you can use the two buttons to adjust the output wattage. When you select SS/Ti/Ni the same two buttons will help you set the output temperature. Selection and options are very intuitive and the menu is easy to use.

Battery life is the only downside with the iKarno X-MINI 50W. If you’re using a low power mouth to lung tank or you’re used to vaping at around 20W then it’s no problem. However if you’re a regular over 40W user then will need to recharge multiple times a day. At 50W we managed to get little over an hour during our tests but that’s not a surprise considering the 1500mAh cell.
