The Best CBD Vape Oils, E-Liquids and devices for Vaping CBD Juice
Ecigguide welcomes you to our Best CBD Vape Oils 2020 list.
CBD e-liquids have become incredibly popular these last few months. Now we bring your or top favorite Cannabidiol juices and the best kits to vape them with. From full spectrum CBD oils to 99.8% pure isolate, we’ve tested the wide majority of products on the market and ranked them accordingly.
We used criteria like flavor, versatility, effectiveness and quality to price ratio.
Give it a go, choose the best right away:
Most CBD vape oils can be vaped directly, mixed with other e-liquids or taken orally. As opposed to nicotine, CBD doesn’t give any type of throat hit. It does however have a distinctive earthy-leafy aroma which becomes more powerful as the Cannabidiol concentration increases.
This might take some time to get used to, and that’s why we always recommend the lowest CBD concentration products for newcomers.
CBD waxes and isolates can also be vaped. You need special devices like dedicated wax vaporizers or e-nails for the best experience, but it’s one of the cleanest ways to enjoy full spectrum CBD and all its benefits.

More about CBD
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol or CBD is one of the most important cannabinoids found in cannabis plant, also known as marijuana and it can also be extracted from industrial hemp. But unlike the other important cannabinoid called THC, CBD does not get you high.
Hemp derived CBD is considered legal in the US and Europe, as well as other states and countries around the world. However, in the extraction process small traces of THC may end up in the final product. The maximum allowed THC concentration in the US is 0.3%, while in Europe is 0.2%.
Prior to purchasing any CBD product, check whether or not it is legal in your country and what is the maximum allowed THC concentration.
CBD products include oils, tinctures, isolates and shatter, waxes, gummies and capsules.
What is CBD oil?
CBD oil is a term that has been used in the past for several types of Cannabidiol tinctures and extracts. Nowadays this term commonly describes CBD products derived from cannabis.
The type of CBD oil depends on the carrier it uses. Most companies use Vegetable Glycerin (VG) and/or Propylene Glycol as carrier. However, CBD oil can also be dissolved in coconut oil or MCT.
CBD oil derived from the cannabis plant is considered to have the best properties. However this is only available in the states that allow for medicinal use of marijuana. This substance is not usually intended to be vaped and users administer it orally.
Industrial hemp derived CBD has similar proprieties to cannabis derived CBD, but it's not considered as potent. Due to it's very low THC concentration it's what's commonly used in vapable CBD e-liquids and it's legal all across the US and Europe.
The differences between CBD oils vs CBD vape juice
CBD oil is extracted from high-CBD strains of cannabis or hemp which contain extremely low to no THC. It's a much thicker substance and it's usually taken orally or mixed with various foods and drinks. Some users spray it under the tongue or apply it directly to the skin.
It can be used in special oils vaporizers and companies usually sell CBD oils in pre-filled cartridges.
CBD oils are usually full spectrum. This means that besides the high concentrations of CBD they also contain other beneficial cannabinoids like CBD, CBG, and CBDV. They can also include the natural terpenes found in the plant for extra flavor and efficiency.
CBD vape juices are different from CBD oils. These substances are thinner and use dilutants such as vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol in their composition. CBD vape liquids are usually made from isolate extracted from industrial hemp.
This is the purest form of CBD and doesn't contain any traces of THC. For this reason it's considered legal in all states and it can be used with all types of e-liquid mods and vape pens. It doesn't include any other cannabinoids or terpenes and therefore it doesn't have all the effects of pure CBD oil.
Is CBD oil safe to vape?
If it’s dissolved in a PG/VG based carrier then yes, CBD oil is safe to vape with all types of pens, mods and tanks. If it’s not PG/VG based, always check the label or ask the vendor if it’s vapable and what type of vaporizer you need to use.
As a general rule, all VG/PG based CBD e-liquids can also be taken orally in the form of drops under the tongue.
Of course there are general oils vaporizers which work with any type of CBD oil. These don’t go over a certain temperature and keep the process as safe as possible. However, there are always concerns when dealing with vaporized oils so it’s a good idea to do some in depth research when picking a product that’s not VG/PG based.
E-liquids: what's the difference between full spectrum and isolate based CBD vape oil?
There are two types of CBD e-liquids out there: full spectrum and isolate based.
Full spectrum CBD e-liquids include a broader range of cannabinoids like CBN, CBG and many other substances commonly found in industrial hemp plants. It is believed full spectrum CBD has more properties and it’s even more efficient with some conditions.
The downside is that is also has traces small of THC that could potentially show up on a drug test. The amount of THC varies from manufacturer to manufacturer and you can find more info about this on each vendor website.
Isolate based CBD e-liquids are made entirely from 99.8% pure Cannabidiol. This won’t show any traces of THC or other cannabinoids. It’s great to use for the benefits of CBD alone, however it doesn’t include any terpenes.
What can I use to vape CBD oil?
You can use any type of vaporizer kit for regular nic e-liquids to vape VG/PG based CBD oils and e-liquids . We recommend mouth to lung devices for beginners and mid-range sub ohm tanks for intermediate users.
Do check our recommendations for CBD vape kits above!
For non VG/PG based CBD oils we recommend using dedicated oils vaporizers and oils vape pens.
Pre-filled CBD cartridges vs CBD e-liquid?
Pre-filled CBD cartridges are usually made with full spectrum CBD oil extracted from the cannabis plant. These are generally full spectrum and therefore more expensive per milliliter than standard CBD e-liquid.
Cannabidiol cartridges are intended to be used with 510 threaded vape pen batteries or selected oils vaporizers. The cartridge already includes a special type of coil - usually ceramic - that's more suitable for vaping thick oils like CBD.
Never use a pre-filled CBD cartridge with a box mod or high power device as these require between 3.7 - 4.2V for optimum output. Anything higher will damage the coil and give a nasty burnt taste.
CBD e-liquid on the other hand is made from pure CBD isolate that has been dissolved in a VG/PG base . This makes the end product much thinner and therefore vape-able on a wider range of devices like pens and mods. CBD e-liquid is usually not full spectrum and it's a lot cheaper per milliliter.
It is intended to be used in refillable tanks and doesn't have a wattage or voltage limit.
What's the best CBD e-liquid for beginners?
For beginners we usually recommend flavored CBD juices for best results. It’s also a good idea to start with a low concentration first. CBD concentrations are usually for the whole bottle. 100mg CBD is the optimum starting point as it will get you used to the earthy / green tea aftertaste of Cannabidiol.
The higher the concentration, the stronger this aftertaste will become.
Pre-filled CBD cartridges are also great for beginners looking to enjoy the benefits of full spectrum oil. These are compatible with standard 510 vape pen batteries and produce really good vapor and flavor.
Last but definitely not least we have disposable CBD pens. These devices are powered by a non rechargeable battery and offer a cheap and consistent alternative to CBD e-liquids or cartridges. They are easy to use, don't require any previous experience and are available in different flavors.
Disclaimer
At the moment CBD is considered legal in most US states and Europe. CBD does not get you high and the amount of residual THC usually found in these oils is under 0.3%. Check your State / Country laws before ordering any type of CBD product.
Make sure to ask your physician before using CBD vape juices. Consider doing research about vaping non VG/PG based oil. All the information above represents our personal opinion and cannot be considered medical or legal advice.
